Business U.S. 131 - Manton

Southern Terminus: US 131 @ M-42, E of Manton, Wexford County.
Northern Terminus: US 131, N of Manton, Wexford County.

With the completion of the northern end of the US 131 freeway in 2003, a new BUS US 131 designation was born, serving the community of Manton.  BUS US 131 starts at the four-ramp parclo interchange between US 131 and M-42 east of Manton, and follows M-42 west into town.  BUS US 131 then turns north and follows the former two-lane routing of US 131 out of Manton to a point approximately 4 miles north of town where it meets back up with US 131.

Southern Terminus


 
The Southern Terminus of BUS US 131 is at the interchange between US 131 and M-42 (Exit 191) just east of Manton.  The BUS US 131 ENDS shield assembly at this endpoint is in place adjacent to the M-42 East reassurance marker located immediately east of the interchange.

Northern Terminus


 
The Northern Terminus of BUS US 131 is at a T-intersection with US 131 north of Manton, less than 1 mile from the northern end of the freeway stretch of US 131.  This intersection is also located about 1 mile south of the US 131 crossing of the Manistee River.
