Michigan Route 89

Western Terminus: I-196 / US 31, 6 miles west of Fennville. | Eastern Terminus: BL I-94, Battle Creek.

About M-89

As a part of MDOT's short-lived Rationalization program, M-89 was elongated by 3 miles in 1999. Formerly, it ended in the northwest corner of Battle Creek at M-37. Then, M-37 followed Michigan Avenue and Washington Street to BL I-94 before coming to an end in downtown Battle Creek. In 1999, M-37 was rerouted to continue south along Bedford Avenue. Consequently, M-89 was extended along the former route of M-37.
