Northern Terminus |

M-84's northern terminus is at M-25 in downtown Bay City, just east of the Saginaw River. Just like M-58 at the
southern terminus, M-25 is divided into a pair of one-way streets (McKinley Street westbound, 7th Street eastbound) at this end of M-84. This particular intersection
also marks the eastern terminus of BS I-75, which is concurrent with M-25 for its
entire length. When initially designated in 1960, M-84 ended at then I-75 / US 10 / US 23 (Exit 160),
and BS I-75 was actually BL I-75, picking up where M-84 left off into downtown Bay City. In 1971, however, BL I-75 was truncated and became BS I-75, while M-84 was extended over the
former BL I-75 to its current endpoint at M-25. (PHOTO # 1: Ed Wilson | May 20, 2002) |
