Historic Western Terminus (1963 - 1974)

In 1963, M-32 was extended along M-66 for 14 miles up to Charlevoix, where they had a common terminus at US 31. Eleven years later, M-32 was truncated back to its current endpoint in East Jordan. As the photo shown here illustrates, this historic end of M-32 remains the present-day northern terminus of M-66.

Eastern Terminus

The eastern terminus of M-32 is at US 23 in downtown Alpena. For its easternmost few blocks, M-32 is split onto a pair of one-way streets (3rd Avenue westbound, 2nd Avenue eastbound).
