Michigan Route 227

Southern Terminus: I-69, S of Marshall, Calhoun County. | Northern Terminus: BL I-94, Marshall, Calhoun County.

About M-227

The M-227 designation was born in 1999 in the Marshall vicinity following the uploading of several miles of county roadways in Calhoun County as a part of the short-lived Rationalization program. M-227 begins at Exit 32 off of I-69, heading east along F Dr. South to Old US 27, then taking Old US 27 north into Marshall. Once into Marshall, M-227 turns west onto Industrial Dr. and follows that to West Rd., then north along to West Rd. to its northern terminus at BL I-94.

Southern Terminus

The southern terminus of M-227 is at a diamond interchange with I-69 (Exit 32) between Tekonsha and Marshall.

Northern Terminus

The northern terminus of M-227 is at BL I-94 in the western end of Marshall, just a few blocks east of the eastern terminus of M-96 at Exit 36 off of I-69. It is interesting to note that the M-227 ENDS shield assembly features a TO I-94 shield, but not a TO I-69 or TO M-96 shield. I-94 is approximately 2 miles to the north of this point via I-69.
