M-1
LENGTH: 21.5 miles
SOUTHERN TERMINUS: Adams Street, downtown Detroit

The M-1 signage above is located on southbound M-3 in the heart of downtown Detroit, approaching the intersection of Woodward Avenue. No M-1 ENDS assembly is present at this terminus. While the official southern terminus of M-1 is at Adams Street, 3 blocks south of I-75, in downtown Detroit, an argument could be made that the southern terminus of M-1 is at M-3 / US-12 in Cadillac Square. This is based on the signage above, which appears to date back to the 1970s, as well as an assembly on northbound M-3 (although it is currently in the construction zone in Cadillac Square) that is less than 5 years old that features similar M-1 signage.
NORTHERN TERMINUS: B.L. I-75 / Business US-24, 1 mile south of Pontiac

Here is the M-1 ENDS assembly at the northern terminus, which is located in between the Bloomfield Hills and Pontiac city limits. At the intersection, continuing straight ahead will put you on a northbound B.L. I-75 / Business US-24 multiplex; turning left (by means of a "Michigan left") will put you on southbound Business US-24; and turning right will put you on southbound B.L. I-75.
