Western Terminus:
M-553, NE
of Gwinn, Marquette County |
| From its former Western Terminus at US 41 in eastern Marquette County, M-94 was elongated by 13 miles in 1999 to its current Western Terminus at the then newly-designated M-553. This was done as a part of MDOT's short-lived Rationalization initiative in the late 1990s. (For more information, please visit Chris Bessert's Rationalization page.) The extension of M-94 includes a brief multiplex with US 41 and a routing through the former K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base. |
