Southern Terminus


 
The Southern Terminus of M-53 is at M-3 on the east side of Detroit.  Both M-53 and M-3 meet I-94 less than a mile to the north and northeast of this intersection, respectively.

Northern Terminus


 
The Northern Terminus of M-53 is at M-25 in downtown Port Austin at the northern tip of the Thumb.  M-53 multiplexes with M-25 for its northernmost 0.5 miles. At the intersection behind where this M-53 ENDS assembly is located, M-25 turns west to continue its trek along the shore of Saginaw Bay down to Bay City.
