Southern Terminus:
I-94 @
M-3, W of New
Baltimore, Macomb County. |
| While I-94 serves as the most direct route between the New Baltimore and Port Huron vicinities, M-29 provides a much more scenic alternative between the two areas. For the most part, M-29 straddles the northern shore of Lake St. Clair and the western banks of the St. Clair River. |

The Southern Terminus of M-29 is at a
six-ramp parclo interchange with I-94 (Exit 243) west of New
Baltimore. Continuing straight ahead is M-3 South, which begins
as M-29 comes to an end. Historically, in addition to M-3,
M-59 West also
began at this point until 1998, when it was reconstructed, and in turn
re-routed to end at I-94's Exit 240, 3 miles to the south of this
point. The M-29 ENDS signage here is new, having been erected in
2005. PHOTO # 1: Howard Goldman, 1/14/2006. |

the starting point of M-29 South. A pair of guide signs stand
here, with the one on the left pointing toward M-29/Busha Hwy. and the
one on the right pointing to BL I-94 West and the start of Gratiot
Ave., which travels from here to downtown Detroit. PHOTO # 2: Josh Anderchek, 4/20/2007. |
