Southern Terminus: I-75, Grand Blanc  ¬ 16.8 miles ®  Northern Terminus: I-75 / US 23, 2 miles southwest of Mount Morris

Southern Terminus

The southern terminus of I-475 is at a partial interchange with I-75 (Exit 111) at Grand Blanc.  South I-475 merges in with south I-75, with no access to northbound I-75.  Likewise, in the opposing direction, access to north I-475 is only possible via north I-75.

An interchange mileage sign on north I-75 at approximately milepost 110 announces the first three exits for the Flint vicinity, and their respective distances from the placement of the sign. The first one is for I-475, which is 1.5 miles ahead.

The sign gantry on north I-75 at the I-475 split features the lane distributions for I-75 and I-475, respectively.  Prior to this point, a fourth northbound lane appeared, giving northbound I-475 two lanes as it exits.  North I-75 has two lanes for 3 miles until northbound US 23 merges in, at which point I-75 widens to four lanes.

Northern Terminus

The northern terminus of I-475 is at a semi-directional "Y" interchange with I-75 / US-23 (Exit 125), southwest of Mount Morris and northwest of Flint.  This is the first acknowledgement of the upcoming I-75 / US-23 interchange, 1.5 miles ahead, at the Clio Road interchange.

This guide sign for the south I-75 / US-23 ramp appears on the Jennings Road overpass, 0.25 mile before the end of north I-475.  A third lane forms underneath the overpass on the left side for the ramp to south I-75 / US-23.

Here is the final sign bridge on north I-475, located at the split of the ramps to south and north I-75 / US-23, respectively.  There is no I-475 ENDS signage present here.

In 2002, south I-75 / US-23 was widened from three to four lanes between M-57 (Exit 131) and the northern I-475 interchange.  (North I-75 / US-23 will be widened in 2003.)  This new sign gantry was erected on south I-75 / US-23 upon completion of the project, and is located 2 miles before the I-475 interchange.  The previous 2 mile sign for I-475 on south I-75 / US 23 had an exit tab; this one does not.

On the Mount Morris Road overpass is the 1 mile guide sign for I-475 on south I-75 / US-23.  Again, there is no exit tab attached to the exit sign, although the previous 1 mile sign for I-475 did.

The on-ramp from Mount Morris Road merges onto south I-75 / US-23 and forms a fifth lane, which becomes an exit only lane for I-475.  Note that an exit tab now appears with the exit sign for I-475.

Here is signage present at the exit for I-475 on south I-75 / US-23.  The second lane from the right also provides access to south I-475.  The left-most lane on south I-75 / US-23 comes to an end amidst the interchange.
