Michigan Route 27

Southern Terminus: I-75, 2 miles north of Indian River. | Northern Terminus: US 23, Cheboygan.

About M-27

When US 27 was truncated back to Grayling in 1961 due to the completion of I-75 north of there, the stretch of the former US 27 between Indian River and Cheboygan was re-designated as M-27.

Southern Terminus

The southern terminus of M-27 is at I-75 (Exit 313), north of Indian River. Contrary to what some maps show, M-27 has never continued into Indian River to end at M-68; the stretch of Old US 27 south of I-75 has been county maintained since the decommissioning of US 27 through here.

Northern Terminus

M-27's northern terminus is at US 23 in downtown Cheboygan. This intersection also serves as the eastern endpoint of County Designated Highway C-66. As M-27 ends, US 23 North continues straight ahead, while US 23 South is to the right.
