It's hard to call the northern end of GA 47 “north”, because the route follows a path that looks like a question mark (without the dot, of course!). The “northern” end is farther north that the “southern” end geographically, but it ends heading in an almost westerly direction. Perhaps a small map in the future will help clear things up. The southern end photograph was taken from northbound GA 4 / US 1 / US 221. As you can see, US 221 continues north by joining GA 47 at this point. |
